Ancient Greece, 4th Century BC. A very large and attractive Greek black glazed plate, from around the time of Alexander the Great! With incised circle on the central tondo, and wide, rounded rim and ring base. The ancient owner carved a graffito “A” in the center! Wide and heavy, with robust construction, the surfaces still a shimmery silvery-black. Intact and robust, extremely well-preserved.
