Napa Valley wines are celebrated internationally, with many of its best from the sub-appellation of Rutherford––home of Heir Apparent, located on St. Helena Hwy, where the wine train passes over our estate. An original Rancho Caymus cowboy bunkhouse, dating back to 1888, still stands on our property. Flanked by the Mayacamas and Vacas mountain ranges, this small valley with its chalky, dusty soil and perfect Mediterranean climate produces many of Napa’s most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignons. We are honored to be neighbors of Inglenook, BV, Scarecrow and other famous wineries. Our winery thrives in the heart of Rutherford within a mile of some of Napa’s longest standing vineyards, and our histories are deeply entwined.
